Playing Color Design for Kids’ Bedrooms

When talking about designing kids’ bedrooms there will be many ideas of mix and matching colors. Since, children like to see and play with different colors while drawing and painting, this is also the same when they want their bedroom to have attractive colors. It would make them more interesting and enthusiastic to stay in their bedroom.

Choosing colors for kids bedrooms normally will be influenced by the gender of the kid. A girl’s bedroom usually dominated with pink color and boy’s bedroom is frequently in blue. The design concept of girl’s bedroom will be cute and soft. But nowadays, this reality is developing. Girls’ bedrooms are not necessary in pink but they start to mix with other colors, such as shades of green and blue. This is also the same with choosing colors in boys’ bedrooms, which is the mix from varieties of color, even red color is their favorite too.

If you are going to start decorating your kids bedroom, is it for your son or daughter, you can pick colors of the rainbow. This is reflecting the color of unisex. There is also plenty of furniture with varieties colors. You can mix and match it with those colors of the walls, furniture, floor, curtain, window and door.

In certain places, designing kids’ bedrooms are still with the concept of traditional. This means the furniture, wall and the whole things in the room looks so average without any special touch. This of course can make the children be bored and do not feel to have something different in their bedroom.

You can also try to decorate your kids’ bedroom by the personalities of your children. For example if your son likes to play with robots, cars and heroic movie characters, then you can design his bedroom with numbers of robots and cars images on the wall. And you can choose furniture that reflects that heroic movie character that available in the furniture stores. Another example, if your daughter likes to play with certain animated characters you can mix and match the color of her bedroom’s wall with the color that dominated with that animated character. Just make it special and do not worry to try something different for your kids’ bedrooms. To make their bedroom become more excited, you can hang things that they like to play, such as airplanes, spacecraft and helicopters, or you can put that carpet with animated characters or hang curtain with dinosaurs’ motives your kids love.

Make yourself a theme for your kids’ bedrooms and discuss it with your kids. What do they prefer to have in their bedroom? Consider elements like furniture, bed cover, curtain, walls, windows and door.

In fact, there are numbers of theme that suitable for both genders. Those themes are like nature, animals, balloons and numbers of animated characters. Designing kids’ bedrooms will also influence by the age of the child. The younger the kids the easier you can design their bedrooms, because you just have to differentiate between the girls and boys bedroom by choosing pink or blue color, or chose the unisex color, such as soft green, white and cream.
